Licensed Hairstylists

HS Studio in Halifax is seeking experienced licensed hairstylists.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Carry a valid CANS license in hairdressing
  • Have 2 years of experience as a hairstylist with a clientele
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to provide own tools and equipment
  • Have a positive, mature attitude
  • Some evening and weekend availability

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide clients with a variety of hair services including but not limited to cutting, color application, highlights, balayage, relaxers, perms, styling, etc.
  • Provide client consultations and home care recommendations
  • Prepare the station before each shift
  • General cleaning duties such as laundry, sweeping, cleaning of station, etc.

Hourly rate ranges from $16.75 to $28.00 per hour based on approx. 28-35 hours per week and client demand.
